Beautiful Things
I'm in Neenah, I've had TWO beers and a chicken sandwich, and I'm going to knit myself into oblivion. Life is good.
Oh, and as I mentioned on the comments from yesterday, I think I probably will reverse the size of the laundry room / bathroom to add more space. Gerry's not in a wheelchair, but for so many reasons it makes sense. I'm pondering...

is it just me or is the picture with the beer a little bleery?
LOL
I hadn't really looked at your floor plan with a view to critique it yesterday, but I have a suggestion today.
We are all aging and we are all vulnerable to becoming disabled for a few days, a few years or a lifetime. So it only makes sense to make your house as handicapped accessible as possible if you are doing renovations anyway.
I agree that making the bathroom the larger room is a good idea, in addition, you need to make the path to the toilet as clear as possible. As it is currently configured you could do that by simply making the sink a corner sink. More dramatically you could change the places of the toilet and the shower. You might want to consult with a plumber too, because it will always be cheaper to have your water lines in the same wall - ie the washer and bathroom plumbing will be back to back.
No need to ask me how I know these things - I am aging rapidly myself and live in an old house that I don't plan to leave until they carry me out feet first.
haha! I love how beer is part of your Dream Weekend (mine would have jug of margaritas).
Have a great time Annie!!
Love Hannah's pot. I have a square one with a lid that was made specifically for my "jewels" (about 15 yrs. ago), I still have earrings in it!! He even put a little plug type thing to one side to put my rings on (how, at 7, did he know to do that?). Gotta love 'em.
