It's Max's Birthday!

He's 10 today - my son is 10!

TEN years ago today I had my little baby boy!!

Too quick - life is too quick... Here he was 5 years ago today.

And 5 years from now? Who knows. It's enough that we're happy and our house is full of love TODAY.

Are You Happy With Your Left Slanting Decreases...?
And now - just for fun - here's something silly. I'll finish the saga tomorrow when I share my secret for a beautiful Left Slanting Decrease (aka ssk or k2tog-tbl)

Look What I Finally Finished!
When I get the pattern proofed and checked, I'll have it available. It's a fun knit, I think it will be flattering on a lot of different figure types, and the yarn is AMAZING!
Plus, I really love how the sleeve caps fit - now I just have to see it on a HUMAN BEING!

Kyle recently turned 16 and Amanda is going on 11 - I look back on their baby pictures with increased longing.

Happy B-day Max!!!

I love the cover story for your left-slanting decreases - totally perfect!

Happy birthday, Max! My little guy is only 2-1/2, and I still look at him sometimes wondering where my "baby" went.
Can't wait to read about left-slanting decreases; mine always look kind of ugly.

Happy Birthday Max!! My youngest is almost 14, and oldest almost 19. The time does fly. I forget sometimes to cherish what I have!

Love the sweater. I have declared that this is the year of the sweater for me. I started one in November, finished it in January, started another one just after the first one and am almost done with it(it's for the youngest). Then I have another one waiting in the wings. I would buy this pattern in a heartbeat!

I can't wait to see what happens with the Left Decreases.

I hope you are feeling better. I have asthma and allergies so I know what it's like to sit up and sleep.

Happy Birthday to Max! Annie, I hope you are feeling much better now. I'm looking forward to reading more about left slanting decreases because I fear mine are often the ugly ones.

Happy birthday Max and I'm glad that you are feeling better to enjoy it. My oldest just turned 18 (argh!). The good news is that he gets to vote, even in the primaries.

I'm thrilled Max is 10, but I'm more thrilled to make my left slanting decreases not look like Susie's. I'm also in love with the sweater. Hope you're breathing better.

Happy Birthday Max! Your are one handsome young man, and your sister is really adorable. Your Mom and Dad hit the lottery with you two!

How I long for the days when mine were young. My daughter has given me two of the most precious little girls, turning 1 year and 5 years next week, and I yearn for the days when my own were little.

I love to look at the pictures of them, and remember the "good old days".

Annie, I hope that by now you are feeling a lot better. Do you think that the day of tubing did you in?
Have a happy weekend everyone!
I have the two little ones parties to attend! Noise, fun and lots of laughter!

Hi Annie, this morning while getting ready for work I watched Knitty Gritty and saw you on the show. I felt like I was seeing a good friend on TV and wanted to tell everyone at home, Hey it's Annie, I know her. Everyone had already left for work, so it was just me and the dog. Well, he appreciated my happiness.
I wish Max a happy birthday and send good wishes to all of the family.
I love the sweater pattern and agree that it would flatter any figure, mine too....

My baby is about a year older than Max. It is so hard to believe how fast they change. My son and I were looking at a picture of him from when he was 3 this morning. Where did that little boy go?

That sweater is fabulous. I wants one...
