Bare Minerals

I like this makeup, I use it and I'm always happy with how clean it feels. My cousin turned me onto it, and I've discovered there's a strong underground of red-haird, red-faced women who love the coverage (when I wear it I look a little less like the town drunk...)

So a friend sent me the above coupon, and I offer it to you!

Go go https://store.bareescentuals.com and use the code FRIEND8. You'll get 20% off of anything, and the world will be a more beautiful place!

The coupon is only good through Sunday. I have no affiliation with the company, I just really like the product...

ALSO

I discovered these at ebay, and I use them to apply the makeup. You can fill it with powder, then twist out the retractable brush, tap it a few times and you have powder to put on your face.

They travel well, I've pared myself down to a purely powder makeup kit (much easier for getting through airport security!)

I haven't found a refillable powder applicator that I like so well - but I have only found this so far at ebay.

Sorry for the non-knitting, I wanted to pass along the coupon and after a day of (FUN!) teaching I'm exhausted. To bed. Early.

I use a similar make-up called Everyday Minerals, which is cheaper and I love it. I can't say how it compares with this stuff you use, but you can get a free (free!) sample and try it out. I think you have to pay for shipping. I am pale and blond and love this stuff.

Thanks for sharing the bare mineral coupon! I love it too. Especially in the summer and when I am around my kids (okay, that would make it all the time). They don't travel very well though do they? I never thought to look for such a travel brush... I will have to get on that!!!

I, too, LOVE Bare Minerals. Thank you for the coupon. I know that they do sell compacts that you can fill with the powder, but this travel brush is brilliant! Great find.

Thank you so much for the coupon! Came over from Brenda Dayne's pod notes looking for knitting technique and found a coupon! Yeah!

I'm also a fan and have put off reordering B.M. ...until now! Thanks so much! It's great stuff. I use to not wear foundation because I hated the liquid stuff. Tried this and I've never looked back (or better either)! The Mineral Veil works wonders.

I love the Bare Minerals, too - and yup, I'm a ruddy complexioned freckled reddish-brown hair gal, too. :)

My only complaints are that it's a bit messy with all the swirling and tapping and stuff - and sometimes I get a metallic taste in my mouth if any of the powder happens to get in. But it works such wonders that I don't mind wiping down the countertop after using it!

If you ever find that perfect refillable brush/applicator, please share the information. I have used the Bare Minerals travel compact and don't like it at all. Easy to spill, too hard to tap, etc. The refillable applicator brush would be perfect!
Knitting isn't the only reason people read your blog, you know. Your blog is always enjoyable and I'm glad I found it!

Hi, Annie
I love Bare Minerals! I found it about four years ago, and it's perfect for my oily, blotchy, middle-aged skin. It's a little messy, I agree. But their lipstick, believe it or not, is the best stuff I've EVER used.

Best makeup I've ever used! It's so quick and easy to use I wouldn't go back to anything else now.
