Sunset At The Chemical Plant

A magnificent sunset at the Chemical Plant on the banks of the Ohio

An alleged cancer cluster has never looked so beautiful...

The colors in the sky look like Cherry Tree Hill's silk and mohair DK called "Gypsy Rose."

Yep - unfortunately pollution makes for beautiful sunsets [& sunrises too but I'm rarely awake to see them 8-)]. That reminds me of when I was a little girl (no more than 5 or 6) & we would drive out to the suburbs to visit my aunt & her family. For the last several minutes of the drive (if we went in the evening), we would see a profusion of small twinkling lights that looked like a fairy castle to me. As an adult, I realized that it was the gas refinery that I saw - but it looked so pretty - all those tiny twinkling lights that really did form a castle shape.

It's odd how dangerous things are often beautiful.

I'm very sorry to hear about your cousin's death. Even though helping clear up her house is a huge job, it probably helps a lot to have some Herculean task like that to help ease the pain.
