Radio Silence
I'm broadcasting from the room of speed knitter Miriam Tegels, she has very kindly allowed me to use her computer because mine, sadly, is still on strike and refusing to allow me to use my online connection. Darn!
The classes at iknit were WONDERFUL! The folks were delightful, students were brilliant, booths were full of amazing yarns and goods and the cafe was a delight. I moved my hotel room, now I'm a closer walk to most of the touristy things I want to see over the next 2 days, then I fly to St. Paul on Tuesday morning!
Thanks to EVERYONE in the UK who made this such an amazing adventure! I cannot wait to come back next Summer for the Ravelry weekend / Knit Camp up in Stirling!

Feed me, baby!

Annie, it was so terrific to be in your class on Friday. I learned a lot, and I learned a lot about teaching, as well. The main reasons I took the combination knitting class were that I believe I was a natural combination knitter when I started knitting, as I naturally knit everything through the back loop for years until someone finally pointed out my twisted stitches. Also, as a teacher who mostly handles beginning knitting classes at I Knit London, I am always meeting students who naturally knit in a way that's not classic English/western knitting. I am a big proponent of letting one's hands do what they want to do, so learning different ways to do everything helps me make knitting come more easily and naturally to my students.
Bless you for your innovative mind, your lovely stories, your engaging sense of humour, and your no-nonsense approach to craft and construction. And, of course, doughnuts!

Hi Annie
Hope you got back to your home over the pond OK. It was lovely to meet you at iKnit on Friday and your combination class was a hoot! I love how you explain things with little stories and all my practise swatches now have little images running round in my head. Can't wait til you come over again next year.
