Apple Computer Shoutout
According to the cop (yes, the COP - has word spread about me from Wisconsin?) who came by to have a word with me, he's a little deaf and can get 'cranky' Great.
Bad Knitters, Bad Knitters, What'ca gonna do?Then when I got up to my room my power supply "popped!" when I plugged it into the wall. I feel like I'm in a foreign country.
What'cha gonna do when they come for YOU?
So, does anyone who's coming to any of my classes this weekend have a power supply I could borrow - even just for an hour - and charge my computer?
I'm running on 1% power now. You may not hear from me for a while.
Check the jail.

Oh My Gosh, Annie! I don't know whether to cry in laughter over the craziness or cross that area of the country off all my maps and pretend it doesn't exist. Excelent blog fodder though!
I swear, I didn't spread your reputation!
!! speechless.

Sometimes hotel concierges have piles of abandoned power cords you can borrow. It's worth a try! Good luck!
guess the city worker is a troll. sorry about that. welcome to virginia. if you need a taste of civilization, head east on 64 and go to charlottesville -- home to UVA and Monticello -- and some yarn stores!
All I can say is to offer the advice you give us when leaving you messages - Be nice, and ignore the trolls. :-)
I'm sure your class will make up for it, just tell them that it's extra imperative they obey Rule #2 this time!!
Keep your chin up!
My goodness. Welcome to Virginia, forsooth! I hope things get better from here :)
The police? I'm not sure what else to say...
You might want to post what kind of power supply you need. My macbook has a different sort of power supply than the iBook I had from my school district previously. (of course my first macbook power supply melted on me. They did send one out right away to replace it)
Seriously, their PD responds to that? How much did he have to play up that call to get a dispatch on it? Good lord. Hope it's smooth sailing from here on!
Really excited you are coming to Jacksonville, Florida, for workshops. Hope we will give you a better welcome. I'm a Mac fan so if the Apple goes down, I'll bring power.
Roz, she had a class scheduled at the Needle Lady in C'ville. Scarily enough, this espisode of Cops may have happened *in* c'ville. Doesn't surprise me, except that Annie isn't a UVa undergrad, the ususal recipient of this type of attention.
